Charles Ghigna
Samford University Library welcomes Charles Ghigna, aka "Father Goose." Mr. Ghigna is our featured speaker for Live at the Library on Saturday, October 21 at 9:30 am in room 235 of the library. The presentation, Poems and Pranks of Father Goose is open to all ages.
Mr. Ghigna is the author of more than thirty books for children and adults, including Animal Tracks: Wild Poems to Read Aloud and Halloween Night: Twenty-One Spooktacular Poems. He is the recipient of the Parents' Choice Book Award, SEBA Book Award, the Helen Keller Literary Award, and the Alabama Library Association Book Award.
Teachers, students, parents, and librarians have raved about Mr. Ghigna's "open and friendly style of engaging the children and adult listeners in whatever poetry he is presenting." This is sure to be entertaining for the whole family.
