February 4 - March 13, 2000 The Joan Wyers Cole Exhibition displayed approximately 34 photographs. Included in the collection were photography techniques ranging from Polaroid emulsion transfers on watercolor and canvas to black & white photographs hand-colored in light oils. Also included were examples impressionism and painterly photography. |

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER Joan Wyers Cole is an award-winning free-lance photographer and teacher. She has published her work in a variety of local and regional publications and has shown her work in galleries and businesses in the Birmingham area. Since 1986 she has owned and operated Joan Wyers Cole Photography, where in addition to photography she specializes in custom printing, hand-coloring of photographs, and restoration of old photographs. She regularly teaches a variety of courses in Samford After Sundown. |
