Samford University Library hosts Photographs from India by Chase Kuhn.
The photographs are on the second floor in the Reading Room.
In November 2008 Beeson student and intern at Brookhills Church, experienced life in several areas of India. By working with church pastors many of whom have been persecuted for their faith, experiencing educational ministries for women and children, and sharing the gospel with those who had never heard it, Chase came to have a broader understanding of God's work across the globe.
The photographs in this exhibit are for sale with all proceeds going to the Cooperative Outreach of India. For more information on purchasing a photograph contact the Beeson Divinity School Global Center (205) 726-2170.
The organization that Chase partnered with in India was Cooperative Outreach of India (COI). COI fronts as a Humanitarian NGO (Non-government Organization) working amongst the marginalized in India. They seek to equip people with the education and training necessary to obtain better jobs and thereby a better way of life. As they serve people in these forms of equipping they are also about sharing the gospel. They believe firmly that Jesus is the necessary change agent for every context. Education and job training are temporary solutions to people's needs, the gospel is the solution for people's eternal needs. Other efforts of COI include training and equipping pastors for ministry, as well as church planting.
