World Christianity Focus
Exhibit: March 26 – April 20, 2012
The University Library hosts a painting exhibit by Chinese visual artist and professor, He Qi. This exhibit is sponsored with the Global Center as part of their World Christianity Focus event.
Dr. He Qi's art is not new to Samford. His Messiah acquired by Samford in 2004 is currently installed near the Government Documents service counter. His work is reminiscent of stained glass with blocks of vivid color and strong black lines. His paintings tell the stories of the Bible and evoke especially the transcendent message of Christ's love and peace for a world in turmoil.
The exhibition artwork is not for sale. Prints are available from the artist's website He Qi Gallery.
