Library Instruction FAQ
What is Library Instruction?
Library Instruction is a method used to introduce students to the library itself.
This includes the services available, how-to use these services, research tips &
skills, and lifelong learning.
Why is Library Instruction necessary?
- For freshmen and transfer students, an instruction session will provide the
basics of using our library as well as a chance to learn library etiquette.
- For upperclassmen, the session will encourage the development of research
skills which will be useful as the student continues his/her academic career.
- Library Instruction also develops critical thinking skills which will
improve the students' output.
