Government Documents

The government documents area is located on the second floor of the library.   The government documents librarian is the library's specialist in government information.   However, the librarian on duty at the reference desk should assist patrons in government documents when the documents librarian is unavailable.   Reference referral forms (see 4.6) may be filled out and left for the government documents librarian for follow-up, if the librarian on duty is unable to answer the question.

Special Collection

Special Collection is open Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.   If materials are requested during the hours SC is open, they may be left at the main desk for use after hours.   Reference referral forms (see Appendix A) may be filled out and left for special collection staff for follow-up, if the librarian on duty is unable to answer the question using non-special collection materials.
