Reference Consultation Form

Complete this form with your information, and a Reference Librarian will contact you within 48 hours (during weekdays) to schedule a reference consultation. Reference consultations provide you the opportunity to meet with a librarian for in-depth reference assistance to identify appropriate sources for a research topic. Often help at the Reference Desk is limited due to time. Consultation sessions will give you uninterrupted time with a librarian to learn about reference materials and databases in a specific field or discipline, or for a specific subject. These one-on-one assistance sessions will give you the opportunity to actively participate in the research process. Sessions can last from 15 minutes to an hour or more depending on your research needs.

Please note: Reference librarians will teach you effective searching strategies utilizing library resources. They will also help you find appropriate resources as they teach you to evaluate the materials you find. Librarians will not perform your research for you, nor will they write your papers.

For more information about the sessions contact Harold Goss at 726-2521, or call the Reference Desk at 726-2196.
