Computing and information technology resources are to be used in a responsible, ethical and legal manner that is consistent with the mission and values of the University as published in documents such as the faculty, staff and student handbook.

The University Library makes available, in the Reference Department, one computer with unfiltered Internet access. The purpose of this computer is to give the Samford researchers immediate access to an unrestricted Internet. When a patron notifies a librarian of his/her research need, he/she will be directed to the computer.

In case of a suspected violation of these values and policies, the librarian may seek from the patron his/her relationship to Samford and/or the user may be asked to leave the computer.
