Below is an early photograph of Five Points on the southside of Birmingham. The photograph, taken by O.V. Hunt, was included in a collection of early Birmingham photographs given to Samford University by William H. Brantley.

Brantley described the photograph himself with this caption, “Five Points, looking North on 20th St. before the Medical Arts and other changes. Ice was delivered by double mule teams and traffic was comfortable.”
